The inability to question authority of every sort and to question anything at all that’s beyond the small realm of established discourse is striking. There are always legions of all sorts that will mark you, at which point the ability to reason is reduced to ineffectiveness. There are all kinds of herds, but the anti-herd herds are always striking for being so much more assured and determined in being a herd.

And for others that stand distinct in my mind for whatever reason, it’s so much the usual stuff I put up with, although perhaps more intelligent and assured, and when I see them I see parts of what they’re supposed to be, but mostly I see a hole, and all they do is go after the same things that are usually gone after in relation to me, only with more assurance. It has never been against the rules for them to be intelligent and distinct from one another in some ways, and it happens quite often.
